Working in-conjunction with Showpony Advertising, Resin faced the improbable task of pulling together an entirely CG spot in no less than 7 working days. Did we mention it is night-time (that is wet) and a chrome drift car transforms into a bad ass Control-Freak?

The environment, car and control-freak were modeled, textured and animated in Maya. Then in compositing volumetric light, camera shake, tire spray from the wet alley, fog, clouds, lightning, motion blur and depth of field were added. A 'sin city-esque' grade completed the picture.

The Control-Freak has been developed to become the face of Bridgestone's Adrenalin performance tyre and the spot debuted as a trailer scheudled prior to the feature film Transformers.
